Homebuilders will learn the basics associated with "Triple Play Services" and how to best leverage service provider programs, how model home programs, the proper sales staff training, and marketing materials can help clients walk away from initial meetings excited about the upgrades they are about to purchase.

Joe Bates, director of research with the Consumer Electronics Assn., will lead the discussion, comparing the types of automated home technology currently being offered by homebuilders against what is being requested by homebuyers. Bates will shed light on ways in which to market automated home technology to buyers, highlighting the importance of various product categories. Data used in the presentation comes from the latest surveys of both homebuilders and homebuyers conducted by the Consumer Electronics Assn.
 
2:55 p.m. - 3:35 p.m.Using Technology to Grow
Technology can be a valuable resource for helping builders and contractors compete in the industry. Hear from a group of builders that have made technology a priority to their success as they discuss methods for evaluating and implementing technology, as well as the importance of training and gaining buy-in from users.
 
4:00 p.m. - 4:40 p.m.Working with AHT Integrators
Establishing a good working relationship with automated home technology integrators can help homebuilders incorporate these products into the production cycle without a glitch. This session will provide an open discussion between AHT integrators and homebuilders as the two parties share examples of how to form a more profitable relationship.

Production homebuilding requires a bit of process intelligence. Many times, these companies rely on disparate technologies for managing multiple facets of their operations. It is a combination of both technology and process change throughout the company. Come get an introduction to what BIM truly means for general contractors and how to best approach strategy development related to BIM.
 
4:40 p.m. - 5:20 p.m.Centrally Managing Complete Project Information
Panel discussion with general contractor The Weitz Co. and its solution providers and how they integrate to allow Weitz to achieve the end goal: centrally managing project information. During this 40-minute panel discussion, Mark Federle, CIO with Weitz, will highlight the lessons learned in achieving a central location for project documentation as well as keys to achieving buy-in and implementing across many business units. Panel will include enablers that provide specific solutions and integrations.
