Beatriz M. Banchs, Assistant Vice-President
Component Assembly Systems

Beatriz M. Banchs graduated from the Universidad Catolica Andres Bello (Caracas, Venezuela) with a B.S.C.E. in 1993. After practicing Hydraulic design for a year, Beatriz enrolled at Purdue University from which she obtained her M.S.C.E. with a Construction Management degree in 1996. Beatriz joined Component Assembly Systems, Inc. in 1996.

Joe Bates, Director of Research
Consumer Electronics Assn.

Joe oversees the consumer research program at CEA which produces more than 25 unique consumer surveys dealing with buying patterns, awareness of new technologies, interest in product features, and a host of other issues. In addition, he directs the Market Activity Reports and Analysis (MARA) program at CEA.

Edward Bobrin, Director, Corp. & Home Systems Technology
DeLuca Homes

Serving as the senior technology executive for DeLuca Homes since 2001, Ed Bobrin continues to help DeLuca Homes lead in the application of technology and systems in the residential construction industry. He has been instrumental in the implementation of portal-based technology for field and subcontractor management, tablet PC-based quality inspection systems, CRM (customer-relationship management), and business intelligence applications.

Phyllis Britton, Job Cost Accountant

Phyllis Britton has 15 years of experience in the construction space. Her exposure in construction has focused on job cost budgets and estimates, sub-contractor contracts and payment activity, and AIA billings.

Paul Cardis founded AVID Ratings Co. in 1993. AVID Ratings is a customer loyalty management firm specializing in research and consulting for the homebuilding industry. Paul is regular speaker at major residential construction industry events. Paul is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin–Madison, with Masters degrees in both Research Methods and Psychology.

During Mark’s tenure, The Weitz Co. has made significant investments in technology, including ERP, Document Management, Imaging, SAN and email archive, Business Intelligence, BIM, and CRM. Prior to joining The Weitz Company, Federle was the Professor-in-Charge of Construction Engineering program at Iowa State University, where he taught for nine years.

Barry Forbes founded Sales Simplicity Software in 1992 in order to meet sales automation objectives in the homebuilder market space. The Internet version of the application rolled out in 2002 and quickly became the most recognized brand in homebuilding Sales and CRM software industry-wide.

With more than 35 years in construction and 18 years experience in network and fiber installations in the commercial and residential market, John P. Goldenne founded Digital Homes Technologies when he found the need and value in the infrastructure in today's homes. Goldenne is involved as consultant and technical advisor to many magazine and industry associations.

Jim Melachrinakis joined Power Construction Company LLC in the position of Project Engineer, moving then to Asst. Superintendent, and eventually to Superintendent. In 2001, Jim began teaching Power’s current Project Control software in-house. He has been a part of Power’s internal committee related to Project Control Software and lead the implementation of the new ERP system.

Prior to that, he was an Associate Principal at Good Fulton & Farrell Architects in Dallas where he oversaw the firm’s development and use of workflow technology. John is recognized as a leader in the uses of Internet-based project management tools, Building Information Modeling, and digital document review to improve project performance

Larry A. Myers, State Project Controls Engineer

Larry has over thirty years of experience in engineering construction; especially in project controls. This includes working as a project controls manager on several mega-projects and helping establish the scheduling department for a large public utility in Northern California. Larry worked for nearly ten years as a project manager/superintendent for a civil contractor in Utah.

Brett Parkhurst, CTO

Brett Parkhurst is responsible for the future direction of software development at BuilderMT. His areas of responsibility include development, documentation, support, and Q/A. He is also a senior software architect on the development team. Brett has a Computer Science degree along with 15 years of software development and software management experience.
